SUMMARY:Inclusive Education: Giving students a voice
DESCRIPTION:Inclusive Education has become the focus of research more and more\nas the number of students with special needs educated in\nmainstreaming classes is rising nearly all over the world. However\,\ninclusive education not only focuses on ‘special’ learners but also\nincludes all learners. Within this context\, it is important to examine\nhow students themselves feel about inclusive education. Do they\nhave a positive attitude towards inclusive education? Do students feel\nsocially included? Which level of wellbeing do they experience in\nschool?\nThis conference aims at giving insights into students’ perspectives on\ninclusive education. Researchers and practitioners need to listen to\nstudents’ voices to explore the opportunities and challenges of\ninclusive education and to create a better future for all students.\nIn addition\, the conference is combined with the inaugural lecture\nof Professor Susanne Schwab\, who started to work for the University\nof Vienna in October 201\n\nAntrittsvorlesung_Susanne_Schwab_K3\n\n
